We are delighted to announce that we have given financial support to the Thumbs Up! School Program (run by the Jimmy Little Foundation) which is aimed at Indigenous children aged 5-16. As the incidence of diabetes in Indigenous communities is alarmingly high, the program encourages young Indigenous Australians to make better and healthier food choices particularly in regard to the drinking of adequate amounts of water daily instead of sweet sugar-laden drinks and also to promote the eating more fruit and vegetables as snacks rather than choosing “junk” foods. We're sure you will agree with us that this health education project is well worthy of our financial support.
